Well, we had a really enjoyable and successful 2 days at the festival. Our aim on this occasion was to simply promote our Support Group and Prostate Cancer Awareness and I am sure all involved will agree that we achieved it. Apart from encouraging mums, dads, and grandparents to our stand, the children loved our free balloons and it was most gratifying to see children with our balloons all around the site; it wasn't quite a sea of purple but it was very noticeable. We also made contact with other organisations such as Age UK, Air Ambulance, and Towcester Lions.
The Summer Party will be on the front lawn/summer house at St John's and it is confirmed for the evening of Tuesday 3rd July. To take advantage of the weather (we hope!) the start time is brought forward to 5 pm. There will be drinks and a finger buffet. Given the probable difficulty in collecting in such a wide open space, we will not be collecting the usual £1 but will have a number of donation buckets available. Members are encouraged to bring family and friends. Hopefully the snow will have disappeared by July but if it hasn't, we will move into the Metcalfe Lounge.
From 2018, our support group will be meeting in one of the excellant lounges at St John's, 675 Wellingborough Road, Weston Favell, Northampton. NN3 3JF. Also available to us is the renovated chapel and, in the warmer weather, the Summer House on the lovely lawn area.
Date: Tuesday 5th November 2019 - 19:00 > 21:00.
Location: St John's, 675 Wellingborough Road, Weston Favell, Northampton. NN3 3JF.

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that our Honorary President Bernard Kelly passed away in his sleep on Thursday 29th August 2019. We will miss him for many reasons but perhaps the most for his cheery disposition; always a smile. RIP Bernard
