Thursday 17th October at 7:15 for 7:30 at Broadstreet RFC, Rugby Road, Binley Woods, Coventry. 

Our October meeting is devoted to pelvic health and how it can help in the battle against urinary incontinence.

Following radical surgery and/or radiotherapy many of us are left with ongoing urinary incontinence. Despite improvements associated with robotic surgery roughly 25% of men are still left with a measure of chronic urinary incontinence.

We are therefore delighted to welcome Fallon Norfolk, an NHS physiotherapist who works closely with the Urology Team at UHCW. Fallon will talk to us about the promotion of pelvic health. She will explain the anatomy of our pelvic floor muscles and how to exercise and train them to help regain control of urinary flow. Fallon will also discuss how our bladders respond to our routines and how what and when we drink influences the frequency and urgency of peeing. Fallon's talk will give us much encouragement in dealing with this side effect of our treatment. There will be ample opportunity to answer all your questions.

We look forward to seeing many of you at Broadstreet at 7:15 for a 7:30 pm start. New members together with their wives/partners will be especially welcome. Come and get answers to your questions. It’s an excellent opportunity to discuss personal experiences in a safe and friendly environment.

As usual, there will also be an opportunity for general discussion and the exchange of experiences and news.

We will be available to welcome those attending from 7:15 pm onwards.
