Coventry & North Warwickshire Prostate Cancer Support Group Open Meeeting - Thursday 23 August
Thursday, 23rd August 2018
Graham Fulford runs the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust (GFT). His aim is to raise awareness of the risks of prostate cancer, and to encourage men to have annual PSA tests from the age of 50 onwards - or 45 if they are of African descent or have close relatives who have experienced prostate cancer. The Trust has been organising PSA testing sessions up and down the country since 2005.
Graham gave us an excellent talk about his work and experiences during those 13 years during which his Trust has tested close to 100,000 men. His talk was both interesting and informative, and the liveliness of the questioning showed the interest he sparked!
We were also pleased to welcome to new members and their partners.
An excellent evening altogether!
Graham also holds a regular monthly testing session at the Nelson Club, Charles Street, Warwick, CV34 5LE
See the GFT web site for more details at: www.psatests.org.uk
Our next Prostate Health Awareness event will be held on Saturday 5th October at the Lutterwoth Club, Lower Leicester Road, Lutterworth, LE17 4NF. As usual we continue to use the Graham Fulford online booking system. As a result our events run smoothly with minimal queuing and adequate social distancing. See Coming Events for more detail.
